Make Maple and Bourbon Beef Ribs with Gewürzhaus Melbourne Coffee Meat Rub
By Shenell Fransz
Win your dates heart over via their stomach this Autumn with a hearty Maple and Bourbon Beef Ribs intimate dinner, for two.
The special ingredient to creating this delicious show-stopper is Gewürzhaus’ Melbourne Coffee Meat Rub to season your ribs with the flavours of smokey paprika, coffee beans and cocoa.
Maple and Bourbon Beef Ribs:
- ½ cup Boiling Water
- 2 tbsp Gewürzhaus Melbourne Coffee Meat Rub
- 2 tbsp BBQ Sauce
- 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1kg Beef Short Ribs
- 1 shot Bourbon Whiskey
- First start by turning the slow cooker on to the LOW setting.
Bring water to boil in another pot adding Melbourne Coffee Meat Rub, BBQ Sauce and Maple syrup once it has bubbled. Stir well within the pot to combine into a liquid mix.
Place the Beef Ribs into the slow cooker and turn in the liquid mix you just created to coat the ribs well.
Close the lid of your slow cooker and leave to cook for 6 hours, or overnight.
Just before serving, pull the Beef Ribs apart in the slow cooker with two forks, removing the bones from the flesh.
Add a shot of good quality Bourbon Whiskey before serving to the Beef Ribs in the cooker and stir it through.
